One good thing to know is how you can have the media help you advertise your business. Don’t worry too much on how you can get those paid ad spaces in newspapers and magazines because being able to get a free publicity can be more powerful than any written advertisement there is.

Instead of using your extra money for the ad spaces, go for the writers themselves. Try to subtly be friends with the media people so they can write something nice about you, or maybe even mention you on local TV and radio stations without actually paying anything. Just of course, make sure that in their eyes, you are just being helpful and not exactly buying their ads with friendship.
